Catrine had literally just moved in to her new house before she'd gone exploring in Salem. Ending up in the park, she sat on the bench with a bowl of ice cream and listened to the faint babble of people nearby. From afar, nobody would be able to tell she had hearing problems, especially with her careful observing of the other people.

Meanwhile, Sabre Lupe was also in the park, except her visit involved climbing a tree and relaxing in the tree branches. She wasn't much of a people-person, or a monster-person, and she enjoyed the solitude... up until she lost her balance and fell right out of it, landing on the ground in a harsh thud.

Catrine shouted in surprise and jumped back, almost falling off the bench. She hadn't seen that coming. She broke into a smile and rushed over to help, "Are you alright?!" Her voice was thickly accented with French and she offered both hands to the fallen girl.

For a moment, Sabre just made the conscious effort to just breathe, as she was having some difficulty. Then, she sat up, groaning lightly and putting a hand to her head. She didn't expect anyone to come ask her what the werecat had. Werecats and weredogs, according to her (somewhat admittedly racist) grandmother had said, never got along.
"I'm fine," she muttered irritably, clearly very, very annoyed. "... Just, lost my balance. Perhaps being in the tree was stupid anyway. Stupid tree..."

She scowled slightly, "You do not look fine. Do you have head trauma? Should I call an ambulance?" She very gently held her arms, supporting her if she needed it.

Sabre looked up to get a good look at the werecat, before sniffing slightly irritably. "... I don't think so. No point calling an ambulance, Grandma wouldn't if she had to pay a medical bill before she got to pay for groceries." They weren't well off, and she'd hate to cost her grandmother money. "I'll walk it off..." Her head was booming though, and her back felt like she got kicked from behind.

"You would not have to, I could..." The frown remained in place on Catrine's face as she reached out and touched Sabre's forehead, "Does it hurt?" Catrine wouldn't hesitate to toss out money to help a friend.

"It... It does, but..." Sabre frowned a great deal. "But... I couldn't... You shouldn't have to pay for this, it... it wouldn't be right."

"Non!" Catrine said, almost breathlessly, "It would not be right if I let you walk away in pain! What if you fell into a coma?!" She had a way of jumping from point A to point Z when she worried.
